Password policy
Follow the on-page password policy. Typical requirements include:
- At least 8 characters long.
- Includes both uppercase and lowercase letters.
- Contains at least one number (0–9).
- Includes at least one special character (for example, ! @ # $ % ^ & *).
- Must not contain your name or email address and should avoid commonly used passwords.
Reset flow
- Open the reset link provided in the password recovery email (if applicable).
- Enter your new password and repeat it in the confirmation field.
- Click Reset Password. The server validates complexity and that both fields match.
- On success the page shows a success message and a link to sign in with the new password.
UI feedback and errors
- ErrorPanel — displays validation errors (mismatched entries, weak password, expired token, etc.).
- Success panel — confirms the change and provides a sign-in link.
- Make sure to correct any errors reported and resubmit; some errors may reference token expiry or invalid reset links.
Security & best practices
- 1. Choose a unique password you do not reuse across other services.
- 2. Do not share your password or the reset link with anyone.
- 3. If you did not request a password reset, contact support immediately and change your password if you suspect compromise.
- 4. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your account where possible to increase security.
Troubleshooting
- 1. If the form reports "passwords do not match", re-type both fields carefully.
- 2. If your password is rejected for policy reasons, adjust it to meet the listed complexity requirements.
- 3. If the reset link or token has expired, request a new password reset via the sign-in / forgot-password flow.
- 4. If you receive server errors, try again after a short wait or contact support with any error text shown in the ErrorPanel.
Tips
- Use a password manager to generate and store strong unique passwords.
- After resetting, sign in immediately and verify account settings and recovery options are up to date.
