Reset Password Request
Use this page to request a password reset link. Enter the email address associated with your account and complete the user validation (reCAPTCHA).
If the address exists in the system you will receive a reset email containing a secure link.
What you can do on this page
- 1. Enter the email address for the account you want to reset.
- 2. Complete the User Validation (Google reCAPTCHA) to prove you are not a bot.
- 3. Click Reset Password to request the reset link.
- 4. After submission, a confirmation panel explains that a reset link will be sent if the email exists.
Security and privacy behaviour
- 1. For privacy and security, the page does not confirm whether an email address exists; the message states that a link is sent if the address is found.
- 2. The system uses reCAPTCHA to reduce automated abuse and rate-limited requests.
- 3. Reset links are single-use and time-limited to protect accounts.
Reset link and expiry
The reset email contains a secure link that typically expires quickly (the page indicates a 15 minute expiry). Use the link immediately to set a new password.
Typical flow
- Enter your email address and complete the reCAPTCHA widget.
- Click Reset Password. The server validates the captcha and queues the reset email.
- Check your inbox (and spam/junk) for the reset message. If the email address is valid, you will receive the link.
- Follow the link to the Reset Password page and set a new password that meets the policy requirements.
UI feedback
- ErrorPanel — displays any validation or server errors (for example, captcha failure or service issues).
- Request Sent panel — shown after submitting; informs you a link has been sent if the email exists and shows expiry guidance.
Troubleshooting
- 1. If you do not receive the email, check spam/junk folders and verify you entered the correct address.
- 2. If the reCAPTCHA fails, try again or check network/blocked third-party scripts in your browser.
- 3. If your reset link expires, request a new reset using this page.
- 4. If you did not request a reset and receive an email, do not click the link — contact support and consider changing your password.
Best practices
- Use a secure, unique password and consider enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) after you regain access.
- Request resets only from trusted devices and networks to reduce risk of interception.
