Security Questions & Unblock Code
Use this page to select and answer three security questions. After saving, the system will generate a unique security (unblock) code and display it to you.
Keep the code and your answers in a safe place — these are required to unblock your account if it becomes locked for security reasons.
What you can do on this page
- 1. Choose three distinct security questions from the dropdowns.
- 2. Provide an answer for each question. All fields are required.
- 3. Save your answers. A unique security code will be generated and shown in the Unblock Information panel.
- 4. Copy the unblock information using the Copy Information button or store it securely offline.
- 5. Use the My Account button to continue to your account after saving.
Page layout
The page contains three main areas:
- Instructions / Warning — explains why security questions and the unblock code are needed.
- Question form — three question selectors and answer fields; all fields are required.
- Unblock Info — shown after successful save and contains the generated code and recovery instructions with a copy action.
Important behaviour
- 1. The generated unblock code is a one-time piece of information used to restore access after a security lock.
- 2. Support cannot unblock your account without the correct answers and the unblock code — keep them safe.
- 3. Choose answers that you can reliably remember but that are not easily guessed or discoverable from public profiles.
- 4. Do not reuse the same answer text across multiple questions; use clear, distinct answers for better security.
Typical flow
- Select a question for Security Question 1 and type your answer in the corresponding field.
- Select a different question for Security Question 2 and type an answer.
- Select a remaining question for Security Question 3 and type an answer.
- Click Save. The page validates the inputs, then generates and shows your unblock information.
- Click Copy Information to copy the displayed unblock details to your clipboard, or record the details securely offline.
Unblock Information panel
After saving, the Unblock Information panel appears. It contains:
- 1. Your generated security (unblock) code.
- 2. Summary of the questions you selected (do not publish answers).
- 3. A Copy Information button to place the unblock text on your clipboard for secure storage.
Choosing questions and answers — guidance
- 1. Avoid answers that are easy to find (birthplace, public social profiles, commonly used phrases).
- 2. Prefer answers that are memorable but unique; consider combining two facts to increase entropy.
- 3. Treat the unblock code like a second password — store it in a password manager or secure offline location.
UI feedback and controls
- Success panel — shown after saving to confirm the questions and to display the unblock information.
- Error panel — displays validation messages if fields are missing or invalid.
- Copy button — copies the unblock text; a short confirmation text appears when copying succeeds.
- My Account — proceeds to the main account area after you have saved and recorded your unblock information.
Troubleshooting
- 1. If saving fails with validation errors, ensure all three questions are selected and each answer is filled.
- 2. If the generated unblock code is not visible after save, reload the page and check the success panel or contact support with the action timestamp (note: support cannot unblock without code/answers).
- 3. If you lose your unblock code and answers, account recovery may be restricted — follow organisation procedures and be prepared to prove identity where possible.
Security best practices
- Do not send your answers or unblock code via email or chat.
- Use a password manager or secure vault to store the unblock code and any recovery notes.
- Consider enabling Two-Factor Authentication for stronger protection in addition to security questions.
